We have been practising counting objects up to 10. Draw a tens frame and gather some objects from around the house (coins are good, or shells of pasta!). Practise making numbers to 10. Remember to count accurately (my favourite word!) and touch each object as you count.
Challenge: "I'm thinking of a number and make it in my tens frame. There are 3 spaces left in my tens frame after I've made my number. What number did I make?"
Warm up: Find and copy these sounds (parents please say these sounds aloud to your child) p d m o r e
Practise: Focus on the purple line. Now find and copy these sounds (parents please say these sounds aloud to your child) ai ee or igh oa
What letters make those sounds? Can you find these sounds in your books at home?
*There will be no spelling tests until the children have settled back into the routine of phonics*
