Sacramental Preparation
Holy Communion 8th June
The children made their Holy Communion at St Paul's Church. They had a lovely day!
All parents came to a meeting to discuss the arrangements for their Holy Communion on Saturday.
March
The parents and the children attended the sacramental preparation. We listened to Jesus telling us that he is the bread of life.
Then the parents with their children designed and made a poster to be at the end of their pew on their special day.
16th January
We had a huge turnout for the sacramental preparation. Mrs Pugh led a prayer about the Last Supper and we wrote a prayer of thanksgiving.
Mrs Pugh spoke about the sacrament of the Eucharist. Parents and children discussed their worries, questions, what they know and what they are excited about.
Reconciliation
6th October, 3rd November
Thursday 3rd November
Mrs Pugh and Ms Grinell led the second workshop with the parents and the children.
We started with a prayer thinking about Zacchaeus , we wrote a sorry prayer.
We reminded the parents about reconciliation. Then we thought about, what we know, what we were excited about, any question we have and any worries.
Thursday 6th October
Mrs Pugh and Ms Grinell led a the first workshop with the children who are going to receive the sacrament of reconciliation for the first time.
We had full attendance of all the parents and the children.
We started with a prayer based on the prodigal son. We role played the story. Then we wrote sins on a piece of paper. Finally, we ripped them up, learning that, that's what happens in reconciliation our sins are gone.
Mrs Pugh spoke through reconciliation, then we spoke through the order of the sacrament.
With their adult the children ordered the sacrament.
Confirmation
The children received the Holy Spirit on the 25th May through the sacrament of Confirmation. The children were amazing.
9th March
Mrs Pugh led a prayer with the children and their parents. We heard about Jesus baptism and said a prayer to the Holy Spirit.
Mrs Pugh told the parents and children about the Mass for confirmation. Then they thought about the gifts of the Holy Spirit and how we will use them in the years ahead.
13th October
Mrs Pugh and Mrs Barton led the first workshop for the children who will be confirmed this year.
We started with a prayer based on Pentecost then we wrote a prayer to the Holy Spirit for the children.
Mrs Pugh wrote her life journey, talking about her faith development throughout the years.
Parents and children drew their own while discussing it with each other.
