 SENCO/Inclusion Manager

Full Time/Part Time and Permanent

Main Pay Scale/ Upper Pay Scale + TLR

Required for January 2021 

 

The Academy Committee of St Paul’s Catholic Primary School wish to appoint an inspirational, experienced SENCO/Inclusion Manager or an excellent practitioner with relevant primary experience who is willing to undertake the accredited SENCO qualification.

We are looking for someone to continue the excellent practices established in our school.  As part of the Inclusion Manager role, the successful candidate will also be the named Mental Health Lead and a deputy DSL.

Candidates should have:

  • Experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs
  • A knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice
  • The ability to lead staff in developing their knowledge and expertise in working with SEN children
  • The relevant skills to work with pupils with a range of different abilities and needs – SEND, LAC, Pupil Premium, EAL, G&T
  • The ability to work effectively with the Principal and SLT to achieve excellence
  • The ability to support and overview the work of learning support assistants working with SEN children
  • Very good communication skills and an ability to work within a team
  • Very good management and organisational skills and experience of leading/managing other staff
  • The ability to liaise with a variety of external agencies
  • Willingness to be trained as a DSL
