RE progression in Lent
EYFS
Year 1
Year 1 have been learning about the season of Lent and that we get our hearts and minds ready for the passion of Jesus. They learnt that Jesus taught us to "love our enemies" and that this can be hard. They learnt about the stories of Jesus with the children and Zacchaeus.
Year 2
Year two learnt about the importance of forgiveness. They learnt about the unforgiving servant and discussed that sometimes being forgiving can be difficult. They learnt that God always forgives.
Year 3
Year 4
Year 4 learnt how to make Lent successful and wrote instructions on how to achieve it.
Year 6
Year 6 explored the story of Jesus and the Samaritan woman.
